Getting Started

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program for functional fitness.  Its foundations stem from gymnastics, Olympic weightlifting and monostructural metabolic conditioning (cardio).  Whether your fitness goal is to be an elite athlete or simply to make carrying and putting away groceries easier, CrossFit is right for you because of the genius manner in which every movement can be scaled.

On Ramp Course

The OnRamp course starts you down the path of learning the proper form of the 9 fundamental movements of CrossFit.  In addition, it will work on skill development and teach you the CrossFit nomenclature and how to scale all movements.  This will prepare you to enter the CrossFit classes knowing that you can confidently carry out the movements safely and efficiently.

The 9 fundamental movements of CrossFit are:

  1. The Squat

  2. The Front Squat

  3. The Overhead Squat

  4. The Press

  5. The Push Press

  6. The Push Jerk

  7. The Sumo Deadlift High Pull

  8. The Deadlift

  9. The Medicine Ball Clean
